Shark investors teach venture capitalists how to think
Arlington resident Michael Stern wants to teach you to be like a “shark.” No need to swim in the sea. Finances need to be navigated.
A financial advisor, he published his first personal finance book, The Shark Investor: How to apply Shark Tank Principles to Getting Rich in the Stock Market. It can be purchased at Amazon and bookstores nationwide.
Shark Investor leverages the principles used by the “shark” investors on ABC’s hit TV show “Shark Tank.”
Comment from Juni Sridhara
“Stern has a deft touch, weaving interesting stories about modern investing, stocks, and companies,” says Junie Sridhara, a Wall Street veteran and host of the podcast “Is There a Lot of F’s in Finance?” say. “This book offers something for every reader, whether a newcomer to the world of investing or a seasoned financial professional.”
Thinking like a venture capitalist is how The Shark Investor started. This book explains the difficulty of beating the market average and how to make the right asset allocation. Shark Investor is your one-stop shop for how to analyze and buy winning individual stocks and find the best exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on the market.
“I would venture to say that this is the best stock pick book since ‘One Up on Wall Street,'” Stern said in a news release. “It offers investors a new model for picking winning stocks and patiently growing their wealth. Additionally, readers can learn about passive index ETF strategies that outperformed the S&P 500.”
He says some must-read chapters include:
How to analyze stocks like venture capitalists scrutinize startup companies. Why technical analysis and chart reading don’t work; how to avoid “nosebleed valuations” on Rivian, Snowflake, Trump Media & Technology and more. and Warren Buffett’s 7 Most Important Investing Tenets.
