TWIN FALLS, ID (KMVT/KSVT) — “Kindness, Love, and Compassion” is their motto, and America’s favorite food is what they serve.
“We do a little bit of every restaurant: cheeseburgers, Philadelphia cheesesteaks, fish and chips, chicken nuggets, fries,” says Michael Patrick, founder of Fat Pat’s, which serves traditional American cuisine at locations across the city. I am the owner of magic valley mall.
“We have the best burgers in the Magic Valley,” Patrick said.
But it’s not the only place you’ll see Patrick cooking up something delicious.
He’s also the owner of Buster’s Restaurant and Saloon in Hollister, but with a unique twist.
“I wanted soul food, and I couldn’t get soul food in this town. I wanted things like collared vegetables and macaroni and cheese, and Tiffany said, ‘Oh yeah. ‘And I said, ‘I’m going to have to do that,’ and that’s why I’m here today,” Patrick explained.
Buster’s offers traditional Southern cuisine prepared by Patrick himself. So I grew up eating a certain way. We thought we could incorporate some of the big-city stuff without taking away from the small-town feel, and it wouldn’t destroy anything and give us that personal aspect. ”
We offer a different Southern cuisine each day of the week. “On Fridays, we have a crawfish boil, which is crawfish, shrimp, lobster tails, corn, potatoes, all delicious Southern Cajun-style dishes.”On Saturdays, we have prime rib, which is to die for. . And on Sundays, we have Soul Food Sunday. ”
But Patrick says his favorite part of working at both locations is the customers. “It’s fun to interact with all the people. Kids, sometimes kids get free stuff, so it’s always fun to interact with everyone around them.”
A harvest party will be held on November 10th, with a seafood boil and the official grand opening of Buster’s.
