Editor’s note: On Friday night, President-elect Donald Trump announced the nominations of former Texas congressman Scott Turner as housing secretary and hedge fund executive Scott Bessent as Treasury secretary. Carson posted to X on Sunday that he plans to meet with the president-elect in the near future and is “excited to speak with President Trump about how we can continue to advance our America First policies.”
