Barcelona New Economy Week (BNEW) returns to DFactory Barcelona to celebrate its new edition, running from October 7th to 10th. The conference is expected to have over 15,000 attendees, with 70% attending in person and 30% telematically. BNEW 2024 will feature 350 “international level” speakers across seven disciplines.
This was explained this Thursday by Blanca Sorighe, General Director of the Barcelona Free Trade Zone Consortium (CZFB), accompanied by Pere Navarro, Special Representative of the State.
Solige details that the conference, now in its fifth edition, will have over 170 startups participating, a number that he says represents “a very clear message about what BNEW stands for.” said. Mr. Navarro announced the second edition of the New Economy Observatory, a survey designed to survey the interests and concerns of participating companies. The survey shows that 82% of those surveyed are planning some kind of sustainability initiative, and 84% plan to increase their workforce.
Furthermore, 56.3% of companies plan to invest more than €100,000 in technologies such as AI, big data and blockchain, and 22.7% of companies expect to invest more than €1 million.
