Step 1: Find your career path using ChatGPT
Let’s start at the very beginning. Let’s say you just graduated with a degree in sociology and are looking for a way to pay off all the debt you’ve accumulated.
Or maybe you had a well-paying job but realized you wanted a career that involved your love of animals.
Either way, instead of just sitting there wondering what you could do, get a list of possible paths to start considering.
Even if not every path that ChatGPT generates is perfect, it’s better to at least understand the possibilities than feel trapped and hopeless.

Step 2: Test job suitability using ChatGPT
OK, now you have a list of 5+ paths that may be suitable for you. But how do you know which ones will actually benefit your superpowers and which ones will become your kryptonite?
Once again, ChatGPT comes to the rescue and provides a series of action steps that this former career coach appreciates. Whether you’re networking with experts in these fields or gaining the experience you need to land a future job, these smart techniques will put you in great shape.

Step 3: Build your skill with ChatGPT
So let’s say you reach out to an expert in a potential new field, say veterinary sociology. And there’s good news and bad news.
The good news is that you’ll absolutely love the role. I think it’s perfect for a job that gives you energy. The bad news is that you’re not quite qualified yet. You love the job that comes with it, but there’s still a skills gap between where you are now and the skills you need to get the job.
Instead of spending years of your life and hundreds of thousands of dollars getting another degree, ChatGPT can help you pinpoint the exact skills you need to learn.
What is the specific fastest and cheapest way to learn a SKILL?
That way, you can take a good free course on Khan Academy or LinkedIn Learning (pro tip – most can be accessed for free from public libraries) and fill that gap as quickly as possible.
Step 4: Create a company list in ChatGPT
You are now off to the races in earnest. You’ve found a role that fits your unique talents and passions, and you’ve built the skills to land that role. And the only question left is: “Where should I apply?”
Even if you’re studying a relatively obscure field like veterinary sociology, you won’t be confused by ChatGPT. All you have to do is ask for a few job openings and we’ll create a great ecosystem map of your desired space, showing you all the major categories to consider.

Step 5: Verify your resume on ChatGPT
So far, so good. But I know what you’re thinking. “Couldn’t you have figured out all of the above on your own?”
And you are completely right. These are the kinds of questions that smart job seekers have overcome for generations. At least since the advent of LinkedIn and Google!
But now, get ready for the real magic trick of ChatGPT. ChatGPT can not only answer almost any question, but also review almost any document.
Notice I said “review”. Don’t write – at least not unless you want to sound like a robot… 🤖
So, rather than asking you to create a resume from scratch (which will be full of robot voices and hallucinations), you can enter your existing resume and create a history for a specific job (and any accompanying keywords). Please ask them to check the document. You’ll be amazed at its features.

Just to be clear, no matter which path you choose, don’t assume your resume is 100% ready for prime time. As we all know, ChatGPT can get a little…erm…creative sometimes. So be sure to check and edit everything before submitting to avoid being asked about ChatGPT’s incredible achievements in the interview… 😉
Step 6: Modify your cover letter using ChatGPT
If you think writing a great resume is difficult, imagine writing dozens of great cover letters. You can see why so many job seekers either copy and paste jobs (often listing the wrong company name) or skip them altogether.
There are many good reasons to write a cover letter, but having your own personal AI ghostwriter will prove to be a lot less painful.

Now your rockstar resume and cover letter have won you an interview. But there’s just one problem. There’s no way AI can help you with that.
Wrong.
It turns out that ChatGPT is trained on some of the best interview advice in the industry. This is because we can not only provide you with a cheat sheet of the most likely questions, but also sample answers to learn from.
Create a list of the 10 questions you are most likely to face in an interview based on the following job descriptions. Then, for each question, generate an answer in a challenge-action-result format, taking only the following resume excerpts:

And let me tell you, the ChatGPT answers are much better than anything I’ve heard in a mock interview. Crisp, focused, and to the point, it’s definitely a great model for getting ready.
Step 8: Write a thank you message in ChatGPT
Thanks to the AI coach, the interview was a huge success. But before you rest on your laurels, there’s one last thing to check. It’s the perfect thank you email.
And if you’ve been paying any attention at all, you know that ChatGPT was born for writing exactly this kind of message, as long as you enter the important details.

Step 9: Negotiate your salary with ChatGPT
One of the biggest mistakes job seekers make is being so excited about getting a new job that they don’t stop negotiating salary. And of course, this mistake is compounded by the fact that your starting salary is the basis for bonuses, raises, and subsequent job negotiations.
So even if you hate confrontation, be sure to ask ChatGPT for tips on crafting the perfect counteroffer.
Write a short, conversational email to the hiring manager, thanking them for their kind job offer (INSERT OFFER) and letting them know that you’d like to see what’s possible based on the following facts:
