GameStop – Meme Stock surged 16% a day after the company’s board announced it had approved plans to buy Bitcoin and Stablecoins with a portion of the company’s cash, in a similar move to MicroStrategy. Dollar Tree – Discount retailers won 5% after the company announced plans to sell its family dollar business for $1 billion. Dollar Tree reported its fourth quarter results on Wednesday. Playtika – The mobile gaming company’s stock increased 13.9% following the Bank of America double upgrade and purchased from Performance. The bank said the company has attractive features and is in a mature but still growing industry. Toughness – The stock rose more than 5% after an online pet product retailer recorded better revenue than expected in the fourth quarter. Chewy recorded revenue of $3.25 billion over the period exceeded $3.2 billion that analysts surveyed by LSEG. The company also induced strong revenue this quarter, with each fact set. WINGSTOP – Fast casual restaurants rose 1% after Wells Fargo began covering stocks with an overweight rating. The bank said Wingstop is “one of the best-in-class consumer growth stories.” Tenet Healthcare – Healthcare stocks rose 2.5% after Morgan Stanley began coverage with an overweight rating. Analyst Craig Hettenbach assumes the market is not yet priced with “critical business models and balance sheet transformations.” Totalenergies SE – French Energy and Oil Company added over 2% after purchasing City upgrades. Analyst Alastair Syme said investors could overlook the company’s potential margins and volume growth. – CNBC’s Alex Hurling, Sean Conlong, Hakyung Kim and Michelle Fox reported.
