RealTrax, the MLS serving the Nashville area, is the second MLS in the past week to announce expansion beyond its home base.
Another multi-listing service announced Thursday that it will serve brokerages across the country and across the country.
RealTrax, the MLS serving the Nashville area, will begin offering insurance nationwide through a new partnership with a major brokerage firm, the company said in a statement.
Describing it as “an evolution of our MLS platform built to support the choices of brokers, agents and clients,” Realtrax said it has secured two key partnerships and will seek more as part of its expansion.
“Our role is not to dictate a single model,” said Realtracs CEO Stuart White. “It’s about providing an infrastructure that allows these strategies to coexist within one connected system without breaking collaboration or limiting opportunities.”
The news follows last week’s announcement by MRED, the MLS serving Chicagoland, that it would expand across the United States.
With more than 19,000 members in six states, Realtracs is Tennessee’s largest MLS.
The company said Compass International Holdings and United Real Estate are committed to contributing their listings to the platform, and more brokerages are interested in joining.
Realtracks said this expansion will add more listings to the ecosystem.
“Bringing together multiple brokerages both regionally and nationally fosters collaboration,” Realtrax said.
As with the MRED expansion, Compass offered membership fee subsidies to Compass agents who join Realtracks as full members.
RealTrax did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the costs associated with joining MLS for agents outside its traditional service area.
