Turbo Home is betting that the best way to educate people about San Francisco’s cutthroat housing market is to let them guess how the market will fare.
The AI-powered home buying startup plans to launch TurboHome Markets. TurboHome Markets is a free daily prediction game that asks users to predict the final sale price of five active properties in San Francisco before they close. Top performers will climb the leaderboard and compete for prizes including tickets to a FIFA World Cup game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
Ryan Lundquist, a housing analyst with Sacramento Appraisal, said the announcement leans toward statistics that show how extreme the local market has become. Ryan Lundquist, housing analyst at Sacramento Appraisal, said 88.3% of San Francisco homes that closed in April 2026 sold for more than their asking price.
“TurboHome Markets gives players a smarter and more fun way to learn about price movements while sharpening their market instincts in real-time,” said Ben Baer, CEO and co-founder of TurboHome.
The daily game combines real listings with AI-driven market analysis. The format is intentionally simple. Choose your numbers and see how they stack up. But the underlying data engine is the same that Turbo Home uses for its core home buying platform, which claims to combine AI tools and local agents to save buyers an average of $30,000 compared to traditional commission-based transactions.
The timing is no coincidence. From Calci to the resurgence of sports betting, prediction markets and financial games are going mainstream, and Turbo Home is planting its flag in that cultural moment before the big players.
Coincidentally, this game is also a top-of-funnel play. Turbo Home competes in a crowded field of high-tech brokerages and discount models that emerged after the Realtors’ landmark fee settlement in late 2024. The company says its customers have since closed on $350 million in homes across California and Texas, saving them $8 million in fees compared to traditional agents.
TurboHome Markets officially launches on Monday, May 11th at 6am Pacific Time.
