As these deals unfold and continue to be affected, the question is: As competition diminishes, how will those deals impact agents, intermediaries, and consumers?
Early last week, news broke that The Real Brokerage had agreed to acquire REMAX Holdings in a deal valued at approximately $880 million. The merger brings together a rapidly growing AI-powered brokerage firm and one of the industry’s most recognized global franchise brands.
The new holding company, Real Remax Group, will bring together brokerage, franchising, mortgage and ancillary services. REMAX and Motto Mortgage will continue to operate under their current brands.
“This acquisition is an important step in our commitment to building a technology platform that empowers real estate professionals and improves the consumer experience,” Real Brokerage CEO Tamir Poleg said in the announcement. “Integrating Real’s technology and operating model with REMAX’s global reach and franchise model is a transformational moment for the industry.”
