The Miami Association of Realtors (MIAMI) and Broward, Palm Beach & St. Lucie Realtors (RWorld) have merged to create the world’s largest association of local Realtors with more than 93,000 members. The new association will begin operations as Miami and South Florida Realtors on May 11, pending name approval by the National Association of Realtors (NAR).

Miami Board Chairman Alfred Puyol will serve as the combined entity’s first Board Chairman, and R World President Jonathan Dolphus will serve as the next Chairman in 2026 and as Chairman of the Board in 2027. Teresa King Kinney, who is stepping down as Miami’s CEO, will serve as co-CEO with Diona Hall until the end of 2026, after which Hall will assume sole leadership.
Miami Chief Operating Officer and Chief Legal Counsel Evian Whyte de Leon will serve as chief operating officer and head of Miami Realtors for the real estate agency in Miami and South Florida. Meanwhile, RWorld COO Kim Hansen will become COO of BeachesMLS and head of the RWorld division.
“Two of America’s most powerful MLS and real estate broker organizations are coming together to further South Florida’s momentum as a global real estate powerhouse and shape the industry’s next frontier,” Pujol said. “This is a win for South Florida, our 93,000 association members, and their customers.”
“Our members will have broader and more fluid access to the data, tools and services they need without the limitations and complexities of multiple memberships,” he added. “Ultimately, this will enable South Florida real estate agents to provide an even higher level of service.”

The two associations’ multiple listing services, Miami MLS and Beaches MLS, will continue to operate separately until they are combined “in the near future.”
Miami and South Florida Realtors said the combined MLS would become the third-largest MLS in the country in terms of subscribers, behind Bright MLS (101,000) and California Regional MLS (99,000).
Once the merger is complete, Realtors members in Miami and South Florida will have access to Flexmls and Matrix, more than 2,830 educational seminars, and more than 300 premium marketing tools, products and services. Members will also have access to data from 11 MLSs in the U.S. and Canada, with expansion to Global Data Exchange (GDX) coming soon.
“This merger reflects the continued growth and evolution of the South Florida real estate market,” said Dolphus, who becomes the first African-American board chairman in the history of both Miami Realtors and RWorld. “By bringing our organizations together, we are building a more connected and efficient association and MLS – an association and MLS that provides complete MLS data, expands access to tools and services, and provides simpler ways for members to do business. Together, we are focused on helping our members be more profitable and successful in the global marketplace.”
