First California Mortgage Company Dennis Hart and his wife Katherine Hart were the sellers of the property, and Jan Merkelbach of Engel & Voelkers represented them. The property was sold to a person in the San Francisco Bay Area, and the deal included furniture, said buyer agent Christine Perry of Christie’s International Real Estate Sereno.
The Harts bought the approximately 1-acre property in 1994 for $2.85 million, according to property records. The couple then demolished the 1940s house on the property and built a nine-bedroom mansion in its place over about three years. According to WSJ, the boathouse on the property was also restored and connected to the main house through a wine cellar.
The home features an indoor saltwater pool, log decor and locally quarried stone, and a game room with pool table. The property includes a sandy beach, a steel pier with a lift, multiple buoys and beachside cabanas, according to the property description.
In October, another lakefront property in Incline Village, originally built by casino mogul Steve Wynn, sold for a record $62 million. The home is approximately 12,700 square feet and sits on 5 acres, including 210 feet of sandy beach.
