Professors and students from the Portalegre University of Technology, the University of Malta and the University of Granada campus in Melilla will meet in the city from 3 to 9 July within the framework of the European 3 Economies Plus project. Today, the international conference to be held within the framework of the European Three Economies Plus project begins in Melilla.
The project, which deals with three thematic areas: economics, marketing and tourism, involves professors and students from the University of Granada campus in Melilla, the Portalegre University of Technology and the University of Malta. The project coordinator, Miguel Ángel Montero Alonso, is a professor at the Faculty of Social and Legal Sciences of Melilla, and together with him are five professors from this same institution and the Faculty of Education and Humanities of Melilla. Spanish students can earn a socio-legal degree.

Among the objectives of this project, the annual international conference to be held in each participating country stands out, and Melilla is the city that, as host, will begin the first conference, which will be extended until 9 July.
Bringing together teachers-researchers and students from Malta, Portalegre and Spain (Melilla), the conference will feature an ambitious program of academic and extramural activities of various types.
On the academic side, the Spanish language course stands out. Presentations by students themselves. Monograph conference with heterogeneous content related to the economic characteristics of the Melilla scenario: Digital transformation. Entrepreneurship and Government. Management and Taxation in Free Ports…; Roundtable on the Initiatives of Young Entrepreneurs. Closing Conference on Internationalization of Universities. Organized visits to strategic locations (business incubators, port authorities, technology centers) etc. from the perspective of regional economic management.
Among our extramural activities, cultural activities stand out, which is why, with the cooperation of the Ministry of Culture and Celebration, our school participates in the European Year of Cultural Heritage. This is a video compilation of various recordings made by students from the three campuses about their respective geographic environments. In addition, a dramatized visit will be organized about the ancient legends and multicultural gastronomic art events of the city of Melilla.
Complementary activities include the modernist route of Melilla, the temple route and other routes of interest, as well as movie nights on the beach. The latter activity is organized by the Deputy Ministry of Women and Youth Ministry.
