What do you wish more people knew about working in real estate?
A common problem we see is that too many agents get licensed thinking it’s a fad or an easy way to make money. Working in real estate is a very rewarding career, but you have to know how to build and run a business. Building a solid business takes years of hard work and dedication. At the heart of the real estate business is the need to put the customer’s needs first.
What do you know now that you wish you had known when you started?

Being responsible to someone who wants to see you succeed is huge. Having someone look at things through a different lens and provide honest feedback is an important factor, as will sharing ideas about what works and what doesn’t. Coaching is an essential asset for us.
What are five things you want our readers to know about you and your brokerage?

What makes a good leader?
Great leaders are usually people who are always learning, willing to adapt, and interested in helping others. Every leader needs a coach who keeps them learning.
Good leaders don’t claim to know everything, but rather use every experience in life to improve themselves.
Business can be similar to professional sports. Michael Jordan knew how to play basketball at a high level, but the presence of a coach is still very important in terms of making sure everyone plays well together as a team to execute the game plan. It was worth it.
