Payback is a…, you know how the rest of that phrase goes.
And this Reddit article proves that to be true.
Are you all ready?
Let’s get started!
“OP is in the real estate business and often buys land or old houses, improves them and sells them.
Sometimes she rents a place, improves it, and even sublets it.
She found an old, shabby house online, but the location was great, so she contacted an agent and offered to buy it, but the agent said the owner only wanted to rent it.
They agree to a lease agreement that must be renewed every three years and negotiate a signing date.
However, since OP has to go overseas for a while before meeting and signing the contract, the agent will ask for a deposit of about $1800.
of course!
OP agrees.
The day after the deposit was transferred, the agent deleted all her posts on the website, blocked the OP’s number, and left her chats on LINE (similar to Whatsapp).
OP collects all chat logs and transfer documents and then goes to the police.
They said they can’t do anything because this is a civil case, despite OP’s protests that this is fraud and therefore a criminal case.
Without police documents, OP cannot go to the bank and the agent’s account will be suspended.
Instead, she turned to a law firm that also provides private investigation services.
For about $75, the investigator also gave the OP the investigator’s actual phone number, legal address, license plate, name and address of the company she worked for, and a list of relatives with their phone numbers and addresses.
The firm’s lawyer then wrote a letter and sent it to her home office stating that OP intended to sue her in a criminal case.
This was becoming a large-scale operation.
OP then spends another $150 to hire an investigator to monitor her to find out where she actually lives, who she lives with, her daily routine, etc. .
After finding out that she only lives alone.
OP went to her house, confronted her and asked for the money back.
She said she didn’t have it with her right now and would forward it later.
OP keeps telling her that in that case, they want her (the agent) to contact her (the agent)’s boss to ensure that OP gets her money back.
She refused to let anyone in the company know about this, sent $900 to OP via cell phone on the spot, and said she would send the rest at the end of the month.
OP said that’s not acceptable and she’s going to contact her parents and show them the information they have about her.
The agent gets over the shock and tells the OP that her parents mentioned a letter from the law firm but never opened it.
The agent cried and begged for mercy and promised to give me the money at the end of the month.
OP agreed and said she would change the number and request her (agent’s) phone so OP could save her (agent’s) number on her (agent’s) phone.
When the agent handed OP the phone (it was an iPhone), OP said she would keep it and only return it when she got the money at the end of the month.
Also, the remaining balance is $1,125 instead of $900. Because I had to hire a private investigator to contact her.
But she returns the SIM card.
OP said that if she goes to the police about the phone call or doesn’t receive the money, she will contact the company and her parents and then take her to criminal court.
At the end of the month, OP receives the money, but she contacted the company anyway to make sure she couldn’t find another job in real estate.
The agent calls OP and accuses her of “dishonesty” because even though she did everything she was told, OP is still contacting the company.
OP told her that integrity doesn’t lie in thieves. ”

No one likes to see a scammer get away with it.
Did you find that satisfying? Take a look at what this employee did when his boss refused to pay him for his time while on a business trip.
