Check out the companies making the biggest moves in intraday trading: Advanced Micro Devices , Microsoft — Microsoft announced it will offer AMD’s Helios-based systems on the Azure cloud. Wolfe Research’s Chris Caso said Microsoft’s decision to return to AMD GPUs “is a testament to the competitiveness of Helios.” The development comes ahead of AMD’s Advancing AI Day later this week. AMD stock is up nearly 4%, while Microsoft’s is up less than 1%. IREN — Shares of the data center operator rose more than 17% after it raised its year-end AI Cloud annual run-rate revenue target from $3.7 billion to more than $4 billion after winning a new $2.8 billion multi-year contract. The company said approximately 85% of AI Cloud’s annual run-rate revenue at the end of the year was under contract. Imax , AMC Entertainment , Cinemark — Movie theater stocks rose on Monday on the back of a strong opening weekend for “The Odyssey” and strong second-quarter results for AMC. The Christopher Nolan film grossed $264.1 million in ticket sales worldwide. The film was the first in history to be shot entirely in IMAX 70mm, giving moviegoers the opportunity to watch it on IMAX screens. According to IMAX, the film grossed $52 million at the global box office over the weekend. Separately, AMC announced that U.S. movie attendance increased by 12% and international movie attendance increased by 18%. By midday, IMAX stock was up nearly 1% from its all-time high, AMC was up 20% and Cinemark was up 4%. Archer Aviation — The aerospace stock soared 17% after the company announced an autonomous vertical takeoff and landing aircraft jointly developed with Anduril that could serve both defense and commercial applications. The aircraft’s first flight is planned for next year. Sweetgreen, Cava Group — Restaurant stocks fell as the Food and Drug Administration continued investigating the source of the Cyclospora outbreak. Sweetgreen shares fell 8% after rebounding 14% on Friday when the source of the infection appeared to be known. The salad maker’s stock price has fallen 26% since the beginning of the month. Cava shares fell 5% on Monday, taking July’s losses to more than 16%. SpaceX — Shares fell 1% to a new low even as the rocket maker announced the next launch of its Starship rocket would take place on Thursday. The previous launch was canceled last week due to engine problems. Alibaba — The Chinese technology company’s U.S.-listed shares rose 5% after previewing Qwen 3.8 Max, a new powerful artificial intelligence model. The company says this is the second largest model after AI giant Anthropic’s Fable 5 model. Domino’s Pizza — Shares rose more than 1% after better-than-expected second-quarter results. Domino’s Pizza’s sales were slightly higher than expected, and the company’s CEO said there was a significant increase in orders in both its delivery and takeout businesses. Hut 8 Corp — The energy infrastructure company soared 11% after signing 15-year leases with existing customers and fully commercializing its 1-gigawatt Beacon Point data center in Texas. The total agreement is $9.8 billion. Semiconductors — The iShares Semiconductor ETF (SOXX) rose 2% in midday trading Monday after falling 10% last week, as many companies rebounded after a tough week. Micron Technology soared more than 4%. Marvell Technology rose 5% and Intel rose 3%. —CNBC’s Nick Wells contributed to this report.
