Robert Downey Jr. is adamantly opposed to using generative artificial intelligence to recreate his likeness, warning future executives who might try to bring Tony Stark back from the dead is emitting.
The Oscar-winning Oppenheimer actor recently appeared opposite Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Ayad Akhtar and Tony Award-winning director Bartlett Shah on the podcast On With Kara Swisher, in which he explores the dangers of the age of AI. He talked about the former’s Broadway debut in a play depicting him.
“There are two tracks: How do I feel about everything that’s going on?” When asked to comment on his thoughts on deepfakes and AI reproduction, the actor said:

Downey is currently starring in McNeil, starring as a famous Nobel Prize-winning novelist who uses AI to write his new works.
