The Internet is an invaluable resource that contains information about everything as far as the eye can see (which means you can search it with your browser). There’s a lot of good information out there, but especially when it comes to money, it’s essential to check the source to make sure the information you’re reading is factual and accurate.
On this week’s episode of Money Glow Up, host Tiffany ‘The Budgetnista’ Aliche talks to Vivian Tu, founder and CEO of Your Rich BFF, about wealth hacks and what she does to build wealth. Talk about verifying sources of information. It can be done safely, successfully, and most importantly legally.
“if [a wealth hack] It feels too good to be true, it’s too easy to be true, and it probably is,” Tu advises.
So what’s the best way to protect yourself from financial misinformation? Tu says to trust your instincts and do your research. “if [financial influencers] When I say something, I get a little upset in my stomach. Please double check using your old Google machine. Have any other reliable sources written about this and said this is a verified practice?”
There are lots of new ways to teach people how to reach a bigger audience online and hack to get more wealth, but teachers and students need to play by the rules.
“What really matters is how you explain [wealth hacks]repackage it and show it to a new audience so they understand it for the first time,” says Tu. “Rules are made by the IRS. Rules are made by the U.S. government. So we want to make sure that everything we see online can be verified by many other reliable sources. .”
