Irish head to Atlanta for big matchup against Yellow Jackets
Notre Dame heads to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Saturday to take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. This means the Irish will be leaving Indiana for the first time since a trip to humid College Station in August.
Other than an epic late-summer battle against the Aggies, Notre Dame’s only on-road battle took place just above the toll road against Purdue in West Lafayette. I feel like it would be beneficial for Notre Dame for this game to be played at an NFL venue in a big city like Atlanta, and if I were a Georgia Tech fan I would have much preferred this game to be played on campus. I would have hoped.
GO TO THE GAME – GO IRISH!!!!

Notre Dame is playing with confidence and comes at the perfect time for this trip.
Notre Dame has won four straight games and the offense has gradually improved week by week to match the defense that plays winning football every week as a top 10 team. It’s the perfect time to go to a venue that isn’t overly hostile to Irish people.
Additionally, Notre Dame hasn’t always played the sharpest ball at home this year. This feels like a place where players look forward to a change of scenery, white jerseys, and a “Shamrock Series” type environment that the Irish are very accustomed to navigating well.
It will likely be one of the most favorable venues for Notre Dame’s upcoming road games. We hope that the Irishman can make the most of his strengths and excel in the A-League.
