Small businesses are growing in Michigan, and business owners who are making an impact on the state’s economy are being nominated for the Small Business Owners Association and Michigan Small Business Awards Program.
Nominations are now being accepted for the prestigious business award competition AE.
The 2025 awards program includes nominations for two new honors: the Disability-Owned Small Business Awards and the Micro Business Awards.
The program recognizes Michigan businesses for their business efforts and positive impact on the state’s economy. This year’s program also includes the Small Business Association of Michigan (SBAM) Foundation as a managing partner, under the direction of a new advisory board.
Awards accepting nominations include:
Michigan’s 50 Companies to Watch Award Best Small Business Award Veteran-Owned Small Business Award Minority-Owned Small Business Award Women-Owned Small Business Award
Awards will also be presented to past MCSB alumni who have been recognized as Michigan’s 50 Companies to Watch. The two award categories include “Great Places to Work” and “Strategic Focus.”

Nominations close November 11th. All awards will be presented at the Michigan Small Business Awards Gala in April 2025.
