Authorities said a large group of illegal immigrants was discovered in Texas near the southern border, including some from Iran and Africa.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) said video footage taken from a drone showed 134 migrants Thursday in Maverick County, located on the Texas-Mexico border.
The group included 32 unaccompanied children and minors and seven migrants of special interest from Iran and Angola. Immigrants of special interest are immigrants who may pose a national security risk to the United States.

Earlier this month, dozens of illegal immigrants from countries involved in large-scale terrorist activities were arrested at Texas’ southern border.
Some were from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Egypt and India.

DHS released its annual threat assessment earlier this month, warning about immigrants with terrorist ties.
“Over the coming year, we expect some individuals with ties to terrorism and some criminal actors to continue their efforts to exploit migration flows and the complex border security environment to enter the United States,” the assessment said. states.
