About Louisiana Tech (6-17, 0-10)
Louisiana Tech ended the first half of conference play against Western Kentucky. The Bulldogs have played the top five teams in the conference standings through their first five series.
A technical attack by multiple players on the court. Four Bulldogs have over 100 kills during the season. Julia Bonifacio leads the team with 165 kills and 2.20 kills per set. Jalen Hurley was second with a 150 and 2.05, followed by Isabelly Benjamin (116, 1.73) and Charlize Williams (101, 1.36). Lorie Gray had 91 kills during her freshman campaign and is nowhere near 100.
Megan Schapenberg, Lauren Albrecht and Grace Krohn give Tech multiple options at the setter position. Schalpenberg and Albrecht each had more than 250 assists, while Krohn had 139.
On the defensive side of the net, Riley Steubing and Charlize Williams have been the leaders for LA Tech this season. Steubing is a major contributor with 250 digs and is on the verge of breaking into the top 10 in Bulldog history with an average of 3.97 digs per set. Williams has totaled 84.0 blocks on the year and has recorded at least one block in 19 consecutive games.
About middle ten (9-13, 5-5)
Middle Tennessee is coming off a split with Liberty and sits in seventh place in the league.
Adriana Roda is one of the top players not only in the conference but in the country. Rhoda leads CUSA with 324 kills, 3.90 kills per set, ranking 14th and 57th nationally. She had a set average of 2.71 with help from Keira Booth, good enough for 10th place in the conference.
The Blue Raiders’ offense is centered around freshman Andy Spieth. Spieth has 764 assists with a 9.20 average, which ranks second in the conference and 18th in the nation in total assists.
Jansen and Booth lead MTSU defensively. Jansen has an impressive 4.57 digs per set, and Booth leads the team with 70 blocks.
