A mysterious AI image generator known as Red Panda has rocketed up the artificial analysis image arena this week, cementing its position at the top of the charts. Recraft V3 is an AI tool for professional designers, and its developer, Recraft, has released a new image generation model “red_panda”. As we told you yesterday (October 29), leaderboard king Red Panda is indeed a new model being tested, and it looks like it could be one of the best at the moment.
Recraft V3 secured the #1 spot on Artificial Analysis’s Text-to-Image Model Leaderboard. This leaderboard is a crowdsourced survey tool created by offering users a choice of images created using two different models and asking them which one they prefer.
The new model has a lot going for it, including improved image generation compared to Recraft’s previous model. Recraft V3 is the first model of its kind to provide image generation for text of arbitrary size and length. Recraft says, “This feature sets it apart from other models. Few models can offer similar functionality, but they still can’t match Recraft’s ability to generate long text within images.” states.

Recraft V3 participated in Artificial Analysis testing for 4 days and its current ELO was 1172. ELO is a skill-based system found in online games and chess that compares performance based on the number of wins and losses. The image generator has an arena win rate of 72%, meaning users choose newer models more often than its competitors. Recraft V3 topped the leaderboard, beating out Black Forest Labs’ FLUX1.1 and Midjourney, currently named the best AI image generator by TechRadar.
The new model is available from Recraft’s website, and the company offers a range of subscription plans ranging from free to $48 (approximately £37 or AU$73) per month. Users can access all features of Recraft V3 through the website or iOS/Android app.
