Compass NYC’s new agency brings in nearly 500 million in sales.
New York City home sales veteran Daniel Bratman joins Compass after two years at The Agency.
Mr. Bratman previously worked at Douglas Elliman and Triplemint, where he has recorded more than $450 million in transactions.
“We chose Compass primarily to improve the client experience,” Bratman said in a news release. “By leveraging their top-tier customer service platform, we will not only be able to create more opportunities,” but “will be able to provide a smoother, more seamless experience for our clients.”

The Bratman team covers all markets in New York City, with a focus on luxury real estate. Specifically, we work with well-known co-ops, condos, and townhouses in Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn.
Connecticut brokerage leader joins Corcoran family
Jeff Kelly, a 20-year veteran of the real estate industry, has joined the Corcoran Centric Realty team to serve Fairfield County, Connecticut.
Kelly has spent her real estate career in Darien, CT, a small community on Long Island Sound. Jeff Jackson, broker and owner of Corcoran Centric Realty, said in a news release that Jeff Jackson, broker and owner of Corcoran Centric Realty, is joining the Corcoran Centric team. The addition will allow the franchise to “better serve the immediate communities and surrounding markets of New Canaan and Rowayton.”

Kelly has had a varied professional career. After earning a law degree and working in mergers and acquisitions, he pivoted to the financial industry, working for a large advisory firm in New York. His real estate journey began in 2005 when he took over his father’s independent brokerage firm and led the company for nearly a decade before selling it to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices.
In his new role at Corcoran Centric Realty, he will specialize in waterfront and inland real estate.
Veteran Florida broker takes on top role at family-owned firm
Jody Macken has assumed the role of broker for Florida-based Macken Realty. Founded in 1988, this independent brokerage is part of Macken Companies, a full-service real estate firm specializing in development, construction and brokerage. Jody Macken is the daughter of the company’s founder Lillian Macken, who passed away earlier this year.
Jody Macken has been a key leader at Macken Realty for 35 years, most recently as a director. The company’s customers include Fortune 100 executives, professional athletes, and celebrities.
“Jody has always been a pioneer in the real estate industry,” Alan Macken, CEO of Macken Companies, said in a news release. “Her outstanding accomplishments and steadfast dedication make her the perfect person to carry on our mother’s legacy.”

Agency launched in Saskatoon
The agency opened its first office in Saskatchewan, Canada. The Agency Saskatoon, the brand’s 24th office in Canada, is led by managing partners Jonathan Katsiris and Dimitri Katsiris.

Las Vegas indie celebrates 20th anniversary with move to C21
Las Vegas-based 1st Priority Realty, founded in 2004, announced a partnership with Century 21. The company, led by broker Duc Lu, is now doing business as Century 21 1st Priority Realty.
Lu was drawn to Century 21 for its technology and services, including marketing, lead generation, agent training, and productivity tools. He said he plans to use these services to streamline the brokerage’s operations before shifting his focus to growth.
“We felt as though we had already accomplished everything we could as an independent brokerage firm in the Las Vegas market,” Lu said in a news release.
“We already have a well-known reputation for providing high-quality services to our clients, but with a little more advanced technology and more formalized systems, tools and support, we could We realized we could improve our service even further, and when we looked into the idea of joining a major brand to do that, Century 21 Systems was the answer.”
Coldwell Banker grows in East Africa
Coldwell Banker Real Estate has expanded its international footprint with new master franchises, Coldwell Banker Tanzania and Zanzibar.
Tanzania is located in eastern Africa, south of Kenya. Zanzibar is an island in the Indian Ocean and is a semi-autonomous region of Tanzania. The country is experiencing rapid growth and sales of commercial and residential real estate are strong.
CEO Gina Washington leads Coldwell Banker in Tanzania and Zanzibar. This franchise focuses on sustainable development and green building practices.
