Unfortunately, vocational programs have remained marginalized for too long. This has resulted in an alarming shortage of qualified professionals in many fields, fields on which our families and economies depend for broader success. These shortages lead to higher costs for both consumers and businesses, such as plumbing, electrical work, HVAC maintenance, and many critical services, which they must pass on to their own consumers. yeah.

We are grateful that the proverbial tide against this attitude appears to be turning. We hope that all school districts in the area, regardless of this particular decision in Montoursville, can offer their students a path to pursue this type of career training.
The diversity of educational experiences they provide is a critical part of meeting our educational needs and the needs of all communities in this region and across America for years to come.
