Mike Hollinger, Chairman of the Austin AI Alliance Board of Directors, describes the current situation as a “Wild West” and highlights Austin’s unique advantages of multiple universities, emerging and world-class technology companies, and significant global investment. I’m doing it.
Beyond traditional applications such as robotics and analytics, AI is also revolutionizing creative fields such as music and art. “This left-brain, right-brain combination is what makes us unique here,” Hollinger said.

The alliance encourages the Austin ecosystem to embrace, understand, and adapt to AI technologies. Hollinger emphasizes the importance of AI literacy: “AI is not going to take your job. People using AI can take the jobs of people who are not using AI. Understanding the technology is important.”
Boisseau also warned of potential risks, including misuse by malicious actors and unintended consequences from poorly trained AI systems. “The more powerful the tool, the more human oversight and guardrails it requires to ensure it stays within appropriate boundaries.”
The Austin AI Alliance is open to everyone and promotes collaborative projects and events. “Get off the sidelines and get into the game,” Hollinger advises. Even if you don’t know what the game is, if you wait for the opportunity, it will be too late. ”
