Last week, The Agency, Century 21, Chestersons Global and other industry brands made moves.
Every day, Inman receives a flood of announcements about major teams and industry leaders moving from one company to another. That’s more than we can cover!
So here are some of the biggest announcements from the past few days.
agency
California-based luxury goods company The Agency has expanded into West Virginia, opening its first office near Cheat Lake Reservoir in Morgantown.
“When we partnered with the agency, it felt really similar to what I had always wanted to accomplish. But now that we have this huge brand behind us, it feels great to stay here in Morgantown while continuing to be a part of the north central West Virginia community,” managing partner Ryan Bashor told 12WBOY at the firm’s ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 25.
century 21
Century 21 has a new office in North Texas, and Van Alstyne’s Crew Real Estate has joined the brokerage as Century 21 Crew. This four-year-old brokerage is located 80 miles north of Dallas and helps buyers and sellers looking to move to a smaller community while still having access to DFW amenities.

“Billy” [Medlock] “Billy and his agents have quickly built a business rooted in authentic relationship building, collaboration, and involvement in the local community. Billy and his agents have repeatedly emphasized the importance of culture in everything they do, from the way they serve their clients to the way they support each other in the office,” C21 President and CEO Mike Miedler said in an emailed statement.
Chestersons Global
Chestertons Global, the 220-year-old international luxury brand network, has added two new locations in the Caribbean. Bellegarde Estates in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and MOD Realty Ltd in the Cayman Islands. Bellegarde has been serving buyers and sellers in Kay’s since 2016, and MOD Realty has been in the luxury space since 2019.
“The Caribbean is too often treated as a single market, but in reality it is very diverse. St. Vincent and the Cayman Islands both have a distinct place in our network,” Chestersons Managing Director Mohamed Moussa said in a press release. “…Bellegarde Estates and MOD Realty have been hand-picked as leaders in their respective markets, and together they provide clients with reliable representation in two destinations where local knowledge is paramount.”
Sotheby’s International Realty
Veteran broker Teigen Boberg has joined Roseville-based Nick Sadek Sotheby’s International Realty. Over the past 12 years, Boberg has closed more than 1,500 transactions valued at more than $800 million, becoming one of Northern California’s go-to luxury brokers.
“I join Sotheby’s International Realty in Roseville and couldn’t be more energized by what this means for our clients,” he said in a prepared statement. “The Sotheby’s brand stands for excellence, innovation and global reach. Combining that platform with my local market expertise will allow us to provide an even higher level of service, exposure and results for buyers and sellers throughout the Sacramento metropolitan area.”
Marissa Ghesquière
Sotheby’s International Realty also appointed new corporate leaders, appointing Marissa Ghesquière as the brokerage’s regional president for the East Coast and Central regions.
“Marissa is widely respected for her calm demeanor, professionalism and thoughtful leadership and is known as a positive force within our company,” the company said in an emailed statement. “She leads a highly talented team focused on providing professional marketing, branding and administrative support, and is constantly exploring innovative technologies and tools to improve agent performance and the client experience.”
