Wendy Forsyth has been promoted to chief operating officer at cloud-based brokerage firm eXp Realty, announced this week.

The company announced Tuesday that Wendy Forsyth has been promoted to chief operating officer of eXp Realty, promoting the longtime brokerage executive who has overseen the cloud-based brokerage’s marketing operations for the past two years.
According to the announcement, Mr. Forsyth will replace Patrick O’Neill, who is leaving the company.
In his new role, Mr. Forsyth will oversee eXp Realty’s operations, technology integration, agent programs and transaction support. He will also continue to provide strategic direction to the company’s marketing organization during the transition period.
“As eXp Realty continues to scale, our operations must be as agile and innovative as our brand,” eXp Realty CEO Leo Pareja said in the announcement.

The move puts Mr. Forsyth in charge of key operational systems as eXp pivots further into agent productivity, technology and scale. The brokerage is a core subsidiary of eXp World Holdings, which changed its Nasdaq ticker from EXPI to AGNT after acquiring NextHome last month.
The appointment also comes as eXp continues to operate eXp Realty as its central brokerage business while working to integrate NextHome.
“My focus is building a scalable, agent-centric operation that is ready for what comes next,” Forsyth says. “We are at a tipping point. AI, technology and a fundamentally changing competitive landscape are rewriting the rules of this industry. eXp is not waiting for permission to lead the industry.”
Forsyth joined eXp Realty in April 2024 as chief marketing officer, overseeing the company’s global marketing strategy, brand management, advertising, digital marketing and public relations, according to a company announcement at the time.
In announcing the promotion Tuesday, eXp credited Forsyth with leading what the company said was a major brand transformation, including updating the company’s brand identity, expanding its social media presence and expanding agent events, including eXpcon.
Mr. Forsythe is also quite well known as a securities company executive, with approximately 14,000 followers on LinkedIn and more than 11,000 followers on Instagram.
Prior to joining eXp, Mr. Forsyth served as president of Compass’ California, Hawaii and Nevada region, where his responsibilities included regional operations for approximately 9,000 agents and hundreds of support staff, according to his LinkedIn profile. She previously served as Chief Strategy Officer of Fathom Holdings and Chief Operating Officer of HomeSmart International.
