“One of the things you need to do in Fort Collins is free!” says CEI Lambert of Meadowlark Tattoo Company. “If you’re in town from April to November, check out Colorado State University’s Flower Trial Garden. The garden is across from the university’s Arts Center and includes a perennial garden. The gardens are rarely crowded and open to the public as long as they continue to grow.
Lambert has a favorite way to enjoy the gardens. “I like ordering takeout from shields and prospective Beijing noodles, then having a picnic with delicious Chinese food (don’t forget to add tea eggs!).

Fort Collins has a rich history dating back to its 1800s as a military pre-post base. History enthusiasts can explore the Fort Collins Museum, combining interactive exhibits on science, music and local history, diving deep into the area’s fascinating past.

A beautifully restored Victorian-era home, Avery House offers a glimpse into the early days of Fort Collins with a guided tour showing antique furniture and historical artifacts.
