Kevin Van Eck is stepping away from his leadership role in @Properties Christie’s international real estate to become the principal of the Maverix Advisory Group.

Kevin Van Eck has stepped away from the brokerage leadership role in international real estate at @Properties Christie and became principal of the fledgling industry consulting firm Maverix Advisory Group.
Maverix was recently launched by longtime industry player Jeff Kennedy, who was vice president of sales and partnerships for the world’s leading real estate company (LeadingRE). His new company’s goal is to guide executives and real estate entrepreneurs in terms of strategy, product direction and relationship building to the sales market, among other advisory services.
Kennedy said in the release he was excited to be determined to join him with Van Eck.
“His ability to identify and implement technology now meets the immediate needs of PropTech,” Kennedy said. “His expertise further strengthens our ability to support companies that improve their strategy and accelerate recruitment across the industry.”

Van Eck was previously president of @Properties Christie’s International Real Estate Affiliate Strategy, focusing on marketing and technology integration, improving agent performance, and hiring and retaining.
He is moving quickly after his company was acquired by Compass in December for $444 million, Inman reported. The contract is finalized and, if approved, will integrate the number one securities company and the national eighth brokerage by volume for each volume. Compass said it would pay $150 million in cash and $294 million in shares, or 44 million shares.
