Former Google CEO Eric Schmidt has found a buyer for his Noho Penthouse in Manhattan, New York. It went public in December for $39.5 million.
According to Olshan Realty’s weekly luxury market report, Penthouse West (located at 25 Bond Street in unit PhW) was the most expensive home to sign a deal among 28 high-end Manhattans in New York properties last week .
Nick Gavin and Kimberly Pressman of Compass represent the list that they currently call “contract signings.” The final selling price was not immediately known.
Penthouse West is a super loose eight-storey condominium designed by BKSK Architects in Noho, shortened to the north of Houston Street. Noho is known for its vast loft and chic boutiques.
The shell company linked to Schmidt acquired Wall Street and Cryptocurrency executive executive Michael Daffey in 2021 for $24.6 million. However, according to the property list, the penthouse has not lived in it so far.
Since its purchase in 2021, the Penthouse has undergone meticulous restoration by Sawyer | Benson, and now has museum quality that can be described as a blend of modern elegance and classic sophistication. The residence features Venetian plaster walls, custom cell ward millwork, and hardwood flooring on handrails.
The 6,400-square-foot duplex home is thoughtfully divided. The main level house has interesting spaces to live in, with the upper floors dedicated to the bedroom.
The main level features floor-to-ceiling windows, over 600 square feet of terrace space and a dining area with tables for 10 people. The chef’s kitchen features a custom 20-foot butcher block countertop, a Miele 6 burner range with vented hoods and a vast Taj Mahal quartz counter.
The primary suite on the second floor features a spa-like bathroom with double vanity, custom Siberian sky-daria walls and Quarzo bianco flooring.
The penthouse has four spacious bedrooms and three private bathrooms, with all the furniture being specially curated or custom built for the space.
Other amenities include two powder rooms, four wood fireplace fireplaces and two terraces spanning 2,450 square feet, offering panoramic city skyline views.
The crown features a rooftop terrace. This includes a fully equipped FESFOC Barcelona outdoor kitchen and an oversized, luxurious hot tub.
