California-based proptech leader RealScout is kicking off the year with a shake-up in its leadership team, with co-founder and president Andrew Flachner returning to the CEO chair.
Mr. Flakner’s return is expected to increase the company’s annual recurring revenue (ARR) by 40% year-over-year, increase the number of homebuyer and seller leads cultivated by 84% annually, and several corporate transactions with Anywhere Real. Mr. Flakner also thanked former CEO Arthur Kaneko for his leadership. Mr. Kaneko joined RealScout in 2014 after holding leadership roles at venture capital firm DCM and technology platform Togetherville, Inc. During his tenure, Mr. Kaneko led RealScout through a major reorganization and rebranding, expansion of the flagship Buyer Graph platform, and the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent market headwinds.

In addition to a new CEO, RealScout has named Nick Blumenthal its new chief operating officer and Seth Price its first chief marketing officer.
Mr. Blumenthal was promoted to COO after 10 years as a software engineer and vice president of engineering. Prior to joining RealScout, the University of Louisville graduate also worked as a graduate research assistant at UofL’s Computer Vision and Image Processing Laboratory and as a project leader at DuPont’s Electrical Engineering Co-op.
Mr. Price is a 35-year marketing and growth veteran and former Placester Vice President. As a Placer, Mr. Price served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing from 2011 to 2016, where he grew the company to 450,000 customers, secured four rounds of funding, and achieved triple-digit revenue growth. contributed to. Later, as Vice President of Industry Relations and Products, he expanded the company’s Real Estate Marketing Academy to 150,000 members, ending in 2023.
