Real estate industry veteran Mark Doherty has joined Douglas Elliman’s Serkis team to serve as vice president of the team, the brokerage told Inman.

Dougherty has a career in real estate spanning more than 25 years in the Boston metropolitan area, most recently with Campion & Company for seven years.

Campion & Company did not immediately respond to Inman’s request for comment.
Prior to joining Campion and Company, Dougherty held the positions of executive vice president and president, respectively, at NAI Hunneman and Mercury Properties. He was instrumental in the $40 million sale of the Joy Street Beacon Hill project and has handled many other high-end transactions throughout the city, including the $10.2 million sale of Penthouse 2A at 2 Avery Street.
He brings the team approximately $7.5 million on the active list.

Doherty grew up in Medford, Massachusetts and is a longtime resident of Winchester, Massachusetts. Both cities are within 10 miles of Boston.
