The Yonkers Housing Authority has agreed to partner with risk assessment firm AreaHub to provide climate and environmental data for the city’s large portfolio of affordable housing, executives announced Friday.
AreaHub is launching a pilot program with the New York-based City Housing Authority aimed at providing insights to residents, especially those looking for neighborhoods with fewer environmental risks such as flooding and wildfires.
AreaHub’s tools and resources, which work like home inspection reports, also benefit agents, especially those looking for ways to provide more value to their clients, who are often heavily armed with market intelligence.
Agents can use AreaHub’s tools and resources alongside standard CMA and listing presentations, as well as for buyer service presentations and marketing efforts. Increasingly severe weather is creating serious challenges for both homeowners and buyers, increasing the likelihood that insurance companies will discontinue coverage in certain areas or increase premiums.
