How did you get started in the real estate industry?
When I first moved here, I couldn’t help but be in awe of the impressive architecture as I walked the streets of New York. From the charming brownstones to the sky-high glass towers, I quickly developed a passion for real estate here and knew I had to be involved in acquiring it.
How did you choose a securities company?
Although I have been licensed since the late 90’s, CORE is just my third home. My first broker was a very specific independent shop that specialized in brownstones on the Upper West Side. The second one was the largest company in the country.
When I came to CORE 14 years ago, I knew its boutique atmosphere was perfect for me. Although it offered me the same wide range of opportunities as a much larger company, the company still paid close attention to me and provided me with the support that only a small, agile company can provide. Ta.
What do you wish more people knew about working in real estate?
Someone once told me that being a real estate agent can be the easiest and lowest paying job or the most difficult and highest paying job. This couldn’t be more true. After all, you eat what you kill. It’s up to you to make it happen.
What are your biggest predictions for 2025?
I believe there is a lot of pent-up demand right now, but many potential buyers are simply looking for a signal that this market is heading in the right direction. Buyers who are decisive and act early will be rewarded.
New development projects like The Harper, where my team and I lead sales, are showing signs of a trend. We are also working on a new luxury condominium project in the Village, but construction will not begin in January. From the looks of the construction site and the teams involved, it’s clear that the final product is going to be really great, so we’re already getting calls from colleagues. special. Certain segments of the market are looking for just that.
Tell me about an epic failure you’ve had since becoming a team leader.
I once had a client move into a $10,000/month rental property that I worked on. He wasn’t interested in an apartment, but we had great conversation and chemistry. I was very busy at the time, so I didn’t take him too seriously, even though I knew he had the resources.
I completely dropped the ball because he ended up buying a $30 million penthouse, and I could have easily represented him. Now I’m never too busy for anyone.
