Check Point Software Technologies (CHKP) CEO Gil Shwed joins Catalyst to discuss how AI is changing the cybersecurity landscape.
“AI is a double-edged sword. On one end, it makes it much easier for anyone to become an attacker. AI can write code, AI can write phishing emails. At the same time, as we protect and build the future of cybersecurity, we need security analysts to analyze large amounts of data and find different patterns. If you have, AI is a great tool to do that in a much better way. You can program new defenses,” Shwedo told Yahoo Finance.
He added that while there is a talent shortage in cybersecurity, many of these jobs can be replaced by AI agents that can analyze records and spot attack patterns 24/7.
He added: “AI can help fill the gap and do more human-like tasks, defining policies and making sure systems work, and dealing with difficult situations, rather than the mundane tasks of configuring systems for humans.” I think we will be able to carry out the work,” he added. Or examine large amounts of attack data. ”
