A group of Republicans led by Representative Nancy Mace is demanding that U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services fire employees who cut videos or posted on social media praising illegal immigrants.
Mace (R-S.C.) and three other Republicans argued that posts by Wilson Osorio, a deputy USCIS attorney, encourage illegal immigrants to violate U.S. law.
“Mr. Wilson Osorio believes it is appropriate to use YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram to encourage foreigners from Latin America to enter our country illegally, and not only to American citizens, but also to illegally enter our country. It also puts foreign nationals at risk,” the lawmakers wrote. He said this in a letter to USCIS Director Ur Jadu on Tuesday.
A recent report by the American Accountability Foundation, a conservative opposition research firm, cited numerous examples of Mr. Osorio’s social media posts flaunting his immigration status. Fox News was the first to report on the AAF’s findings.

One TikTok post from Osorio unearthed by AAF cites a family member from El Salvador as saying, “Illegal immigrants play a critical role in America’s infrastructure.” “I also heard that you pay taxes to Uncle Sam even though you don’t have any documents.”
Osorio’s social media posts of this nature began around July, but his accounts have since been made private.
“The American Dream is alive and well. This is the story of Honduran immigrants who entered the United States illegally. [around] 20 years ago. “Through hard work and dedication, he is now the owner of an expanding restaurant with over $1 million in sales,” according to a screenshot from AAF and another social media post on his Instagram. The post said:
One video description written by Osorio in Spanish is translated as follows: “You work hard for money in the U.S., but it was worth crossing the border. Thanks to my work here, I built a house in Honduras and plan to return home soon.”

Calls for Mace’s removal were joined by Representatives Andy Harris (R-Md.), Ralph Norman (R-S.C.), and Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.).
Lawmakers stressed that Osorio’s posts were made “while receiving paychecks from taxpayers from USCIS, the agency tasked with overseeing legal immigration.”
They also highlighted the impact of illegal immigration, calling it a “scourge on our country,” and said that since fiscal year 2021, U.S. Customs and Border Protection has “discovered at least 392 illegal aliens on terrorist watch lists.” “I did,” he pointed out.
“We have already seen countless American citizens assaulted, raped, and murdered by illegal aliens who have no right to be in our country. These criminal aliens are
Wilson Osorio and poses a serious threat to the American people,” they added.
Before joining USCIS, Osorio worked as an immigration attorney for current Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Dick Durbin (D-Ill.).

“Encouraging illegal immigration is not compassionate, it is cruel. The dangerous journey of illegal aliens from Latin America to the United States is controlled by criminal cartels and coyotes, who are the ones who are the most vulnerable to undocumented immigrants, including women and children. “They force people into indentured servitude, sexual slavery, and drug trafficking to send money back to the United States,” the lawmakers added.
The newspaper has reached out to DHS and USCIS for comment.
AAF released its findings on Osorio along with a new website titled “DHS Watchlist,” which lists a number of government officials it considers “radical left” officials who may remain in the Biden-Harris administration. .
A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson at the time slammed the AAF listing, saying, “We strongly condemn any effort to harass government officials or any American in this heightened threat environment,” according to the Post. told.
