This activity was developed within the framework of the subject “Synthetic Images and Video Games” of the Audiovisual Communication degree of the Faculty of Communication Sciences and will be supervised by Professor Maria del Carmen of the URJC Department of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising. Gertrudis is married. The project was co-sponsored by Juan Romero Ruiz, professor at the Department of Audiovisual and Graphic Creation at the University of Design, Innovation and Technology (UDIT), and Maria del Carmen Gálvez de la, professor at the University’s Department of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising. This was done with the help of Mr. Cuesta. URJC.
The main objective is to give students pursuing a degree in Audiovisual Communication the opportunity to collaborate in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and taking action towards a circular economy. The main objective of this edition is to increase consumer participation in the circular economy and contribute to the empowerment of the public towards sustainable consumption through video games. Additionally, the event will contribute to the creation of open educational resources in the form of video games that will support the transition from a linear to a circular economy.
This process was carried out within the educational innovation project “ECO2 – Ecosystem of Open Knowledge Environments”, which belongs to the Call for Educational Innovation Projects 2023 of the University of Rey Juan Carlos and was developed by the Educational Innovation Group of Communication, Digital Technologies and Open Education. Ta. – COMTEDEA, coordinated by Professor Manuel Gértrudix.
1st Place: Eco Friendship was developed by students Aitana Brihuega Garcia, Gheorghe Catalin Cristea, and Nuria del Hoyo Fajardo.
2nd Place: Zombie Food Fighters: Fighting Waste. It was developed by students Jesús González Rojo, Jimena García Benítez Dávila, Jodi Echenik Ramírez, and José Antonio Nieves Landero.
3rd place: Tecnolandia, developed by students Sofia Valentina Manaure Viloria, Ainara Dios Roa, Álvaro Velasco Ramos, Nabil Saad Díaz Salazar and Alba Martín Gallo.
Honorable Mention: Algodon Island, an odyssey of consumerism developed by students Lydia Lazaro Nuñez, Raquel López García, and Sofía Martínez Sánchez.
