Pantone 2025 Color of the Year Mocha Mousse
This is the time of year when all kinds of companies and media outlets announce their items and ideas for the year. The announcement of this year’s colors is especially important as the real estate industry is flooded with design content that applies to everything from marketing and branding to presentation and restraint.
Each year, the Pantone Color Institute announces the Color of the Year. This is an announcement as much anticipated as an NFL draft pick or an Oscar nomination. Pantone’s Color of the Year is sometimes beloved, sometimes mysterious, and often hotly debated.
This year’s color, PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse, is sure to be loved by some and rejected by others. But for me, I think this is a very perfect time in real estate and in our culture.
As the founder of Agent Image, this color was no surprise to me. We have noticed a growing interest among our clients in adopting shades of brown as a core element of their color palette. This is a change that did not exist before. seen over the years.
Whether you’re wondering what all the fuss is about or considering adding mocha mousse to your branding and staging plans, here are three reasons why mocha mousse is a great choice I will.
1. All that matters is the atmosphere
Pantone said in its introductory announcement that Mocha Mousse, in both its name and its complex hue, evokes the richness, warmth, and comfort of both chocolate and coffee, making it instantly appealing and universal. He said that he can empathize with this.
Next, apply these descriptions to real estate. In real estate, trust and emotional connection are key ingredients to creating lifelong customers. Friendly, sweet and sophisticated colors not only attract the eye, but also resonate deep within the soul and on a non-verbal sensory level.
Over the past year, real estate professionals have come under fire from the Justice Department, the media, and consumer groups alike. Telling a color story that includes this hue is an opportunity to infuse your brand or client’s space with all of the color’s positive connotations and associations.
2. Neutrality is always required
“Builder grey,” “flipper grey,” just plain grey, no matter what you call the ubiquitous gray that takes over our homes, there’s no doubt we’ve all reached maximum levels of gray fatigue. But you also want neutral colors that blend with other colors while still having the ability to make a statement on their own.
Mocha mousse combines beautifully with:
Crisp whites and creams create a classy, minimalist aesthetic; Rich greenery and muted blues create a quiet, natural style; Metallic accents, such as gold, brass, and copper, create a luxurious, sophisticated look.
This beautiful brown tone evokes a sense of simplicity, authenticity, and nature without looking earthy or drab. Pantone says, “Mocha Mousse expands our perception of Brown from humble and down-to-earth to aspirational and extravagant.” And it feels timeless and fresh even after years of using cool-toned grays.
Perfect for websites and marketing materials
Beautiful, rich neutrals like mocha mousse are suitable for a variety of branding, marketing, and graphic design applications, including:
Background: Use as a warm tone below a list of photo or video content. Filters and overlays: Use this earthy tone consistently on platforms like Instagram and Pinterest to keep your grid consistent. Typography: This is an unexpected and sophisticated color for headlines and call-outs. – Action Button Branding: Logos, business cards, and more can benefit from this attractive yet elevated hue, which pairs well with both modern minimalist and traditional fonts.
Think about things with positive associations, like a classic vintage bomber jacket, a cozy cup of hot cocoa, or a chocolate mousse after a sumptuous meal at your favorite French restaurant. Consider trends that are driving cultural conversations, such as the environment and sustainability movement and spa-like wellness retreats. Mocha mousse means all of these things.
If you’re considering a completely new look for your marketing materials and platform in 2025, something that truly resonates with your ideal clients, Mocha Mousse is the perfect choice. Convey an element of connection, comfort, and cool throughout your brand to capture people’s attention.
