This new agreement brings the number of brokers and franchisors that have partnered with Zillow on pre-market listings to 29.
On Wednesday, Zillow announced it has added 24 more brokers and franchisors to Zillow Preview, accelerating the transition to a world where properties are pre-sold on its search portal.
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Engel & Völkers, SERHANT., Samson Properties and others have signed deals with the nation’s largest search portal to pre-market homes exclusively on Zillow and Trulia.
This news was a clear sign that the market continues to move toward a future where homebuyers have to check multiple portals to find a property before putting it on the market, and where properties are widely shared through multiple listing services and other portals.
More than 800 other brokerage firms have expressed interest in signing the deal with Zillow, which was first revealed last week, according to Zillow.
“This rapid adoption builds on last week’s launch announcement and demonstrates the growing demand across the industry for a more transparent, consumer-first approach to sharing pre-market listings.”
The following companies have joined Zillow’s partnership: Keller Williams, REMAX, HomeServices of America, Side, and United Real Estate.

Zillow announced last week that brokerages can “pre-market” listings while complying with local Multiple Listing Service (MLS) rules. The MLS governs how long a listing can remain in Coming Soon status before it becomes effective.
Agents can test pricing during the preview stage and decide whether a days-to-listing period will occur, depending on MLS rules.
Some MLSs allow agents to advertise listings as “coming soon” for more than 30 days. On the other hand, NorthwestMLS does not allow Coming Soon listings.
Zillow Preview was the company’s response to the news that Compass and Rocket had struck a deal to prominently display presale listings from agents within the giant brokerage firm Compass on Redfin. The upcoming list of Redfin agents also appears on the portal and has the third highest traffic.
EXp Realty announced last week that it was the first company to partner with Realtor.com and Homes.com in a pre-marketing syndication agreement. The brokerage also partnered with ComeHome.com.
Zillow says pre-sold properties by brokerage agents who have signed contracts will be prominently displayed on its portal. When a buyer connects with a Zillow Preferred agent through a pre-sold listing, the listing agent may also earn a portion of Zillow’s revenue.
“While Zillow Preview was just announced, the signals from the industry are undeniable,” Zillow CEO Jeremy Wacksman said in a statement. “Rather than hiding behind private gates, brokerage firms and their agents want early marketing options that are open, transparent, and easy for consumers to discover. This level of early adoption shows we are building in line with where the market is headed.”
Pre-sale items will be available on Zillow and Trulia next month.
