Air pollution from coal-fired power plants has negative externalities and damages human health. Carbon emissions from previous power plants have contributed to global warming. The recent art of economists has discussed recent acceleration in global warming, suggesting that clean air and cooler planet twin goals may be at odds.
Evidence for various perpetrators comes from work recently published in Science. Helge Goessling of the Alfred Wegener Institute at Bremerhaven and his colleagues use satellite data and weather records to show that over the course of this century, Earth gradually reflects the universe that has fewer return to space than in 2023. This was fantastic, especially in the northern mire, due to the lack of cloud cover.
Some of this can be downloaded to the new IMO rules [reducing ship engine emissions]However, the dimming is too strong to explain on its own. Bjorn Samsett of Cicero, Norwegian Climate Research Institute, points to another possibility. The lack of sulfate emissions is not the result of cleaner ships, but rather of cleaner Chinese coal-fired power plants. Since 2014, China has made progress in reducing sulfur issues, particularly by closing the Noxius power plant and reducing sulfur from other people’s flue gas. New data will lead Dr. Samsett and his colleagues to believe that cleanup has had significant effects across the North Pacific.

Sub proposes using “geoengineering” to combat global warming. A recent article in the Guardian lists three options:
Stratospheric aerosol injection:
The plane emits small aerosol particles that bring light back into space.
Cirus Cloud Thinning:
The least understood method is that using ice nuclei to seed thin fur clouds into the upper troposphere can reduce lifespan and increase cooling.
Marine Cloud Bright:
The boat organizes aerosol particles that increase the reflection of low clouds.
Every geo-engineering project has major political challenges. SOM countries may benefit from other losses, especially if the rainfall patterns are affected. Nevertheless, geoengineering appears to be a subpoint in the future, as global SEM will give up objective things to prevent global warming by limiting the issuance of greenhouse gases.
Please note that we are already “geo-engineering” in the sense of artificially changing the world’s climate. The argument is whether or not to do so in a constructive way, not in a disruptive way.
