Transgourmet Ibérica has launched a new Economy brand, which is now available at all GM Cash centers, the company reports on its social networks. The brand includes fresh and dry products in a variety of formats.
The launch of Economy is part of the company’s innovation process, which aims to “meet new demands” from its customers. The company summarizes the brand’s characteristics as “good, cute, and cheap!”
Similarly, Transgourmet hopes the novelty will help hospitality professionals “save money without sacrificing quality and taste.”
Economy joins other private brands that GM Cash offers at its facilities: Quality, Natura, Café Ziccarelli, Greenwell Infusions, Mike & Friends, Gourmet, Mical and Midasrm.
According to a recent KPMG study, private label brands are very close to overtaking manufacturers and may even build on the progress made to date and even deepen their penetration into household consumption.
Transgourmet is Europe’s second largest wholesale distribution and cash-and-carry company. Headquartered in Switzerland, the company employs approximately 30,000 people in seven countries: Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Spain, France, Poland and Romania.
