So here are some of the biggest announcements from the past few days.
@properties Christie’s International Real Estate
After Thomas Downing announced his retirement in January, @properties selected Jim Barcelona to take over his previous role as the firm’s executive vice president of securities services. Mr. Barcelona has been with @properties since 2018, leading the brokerage’s growth on Chicago’s West Side as Vice President of Brokerage Services.
Veteran agent Mike Long will take over the position at Barcelona. “Their expertise and leadership will strengthen our already great team and ensure our agencies have the support they need to grow,” said Thad Wong, co-founder and co-CEO of the company.
Bay East Realtors Association
The Bay East Association of Realtors has established its 2026 Leadership Team, headed by Bill Espinola. Espinola has been a real estate agent since 2001 and currently serves on committees and boards of directors for the Bay East and California Association of Realtors.
Douglas Elliman
Jonathan Miller, long-time chief market report researcher at Douglas Elliman, has stepped down from his position after 32 years. Miller said his company, Miller Samuel, will continue to serve other clients across New York City, but his focus will be on his new data venture, StreetMatrix, and his housing substack, Housing Notes.
“This mutual decision was made with Douglas Elliman in light of our long-term relationship,” he said in an emailed statement. “Douglas Elliman said it is already working hard to develop a replacement product for the current Elliman Report series to continue its long-term commitment to helping market participants make informed real estate decisions.”

Fathom Realty has named former EXIT Realty Corporation International executive Lori Muller as its new president. Muller has an impressive resume dating back to 2004, including roles at Coldwell Banker and EXIT, as well as several independent coaching and consulting businesses.
At EXIT, Mr. Muller served as regional director, broker owner and vice president of U.S. operations before becoming president of the division in 2021. “Lori is a proven people-first leader with deep operational expertise and a proven track record of empowering agency and brokerage leaders,” said Fathom CEO Marco Fregenal.

Minneapolis-based Long & Foster Real Estate has named former Compass executive Lacey Conway as its new president. Mr. Conway has been in the industry since 2005, serving as principal broker and then chief executive officer at Rutter & Blum Companies, which Compass acquired in 2024.
Executives will work with Patrick Bain, CEO of The Long & Foster Companies, to shape the brokerage’s growth strategy. “She has been an agent, manager and leader and brings a people-first leadership style that aligns with our core values,” Bain said. “Her unique perspective and experience will be a great asset to Long & Foster.”
Sirhant.
Sirhant. has arrived in Boston, with Michael L. Carlucci, Antonio Cooley, Jorge Saliego, Kyle Farrell and Joe Albano serving as founding agents for the firm’s first New York-based Beantown office. Over the past year, the agency has closed more than $600 million in total, laying a solid foundation for SERHANT’s expansion in the city.
