SHIFT Open Finance Community has revealed that open banking platform Money Squirrel is the only successful applicant for its dedicated fintech incubator program ‘Ignite’.
The incubator program ‘Ignite’ is designed to support founders in turning their ‘disruptive fintech ideas’ into reality through a combination of financial support, expert guidance and industry networking opportunities.
Ignite was founded by SHIFT, a community of over 300 fintech companies, and Woodhurst, a financial services consultancy.
Money Squirrel helps businesses manage cash flow and improve the way their money works by allowing them to funnel money into savings accounts and earn interest on unspent balances while preparing for future obligations. We are aiming for
Through Ignite, Money Squirrel will receive “customized” support from both the SHIFT and Woodhurst teams, including cash infusions and co-working space, as well as credit, learning tools, guidance from Google Cloud, and more. Resources are also provided. Dedicated Startup Success Manager.”
The program also offers mentorship from Oliver Parsons, Lloyds Banking Group’s Head of Ecosystem, Customer Proposal, James Varga, Founder of DirectID, Jonny Martin, Investor at Augmentum FinTech, and more. Masu.

Money Squirrel was initially selected from a pool of 60 applicants, seven of whom proceeded to interviews and four finalists were invited for follow-up discussions.
Mr Masterson moderated the Powerhouse Debate on day two of the Open Finance Show, which was held in London at the same time as the Open Banking Expo UK & Europe earlier this month.
