Industry veteran Shelley Criss has joined the National Association of Realtors as an independent consultant and special advisor to CEO Nikia Wright, the association announced Monday morning.
NAR said in a press release that Chris intends to help professional associations build relationships, trust and expand collaboration with brokerage industry leaders as the industry continues to adapt to the post-settlement landscape. stated in a release.

Chris spent nearly 20 years at Anywhere Real Estate Inc. and prior to that served as CEO of Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate (BHGRE) and ERA Real Estate. Previously, he served as COO of Coldwell Banker Real Estate.
During his time at BHGRE and ERA, Chris was instrumental in significant brand growth, with BHGRE expanding its footprint to more than 40 states and six countries, and ERA reaching 43 states and 34 countries.
In late December, Chris announced that he would be stepping down from his advisory role at Anywhere. Prior to that, he had retired in the spring of 2023.
