Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) and STIC Travel Group (STIC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen Sentosa’s position as a sustainable destination for leisure, business and education in the Indian market.
The one-year partnership will focus on Sentosa’s sustainable practices and diverse ecosystem and aim to create innovative educational experiences for Indian students.
The collaboration aims to increase tourism from India by offering an immersive educational experience focused on sustainability.
The MoU signifies a joint effort to design immersive learning experiences that leverage Sentosa Island’s unique environment as a living classroom and foster a deeper understanding of the importance of sustainability. These programs emphasize important concepts such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, reducing carbon emissions, and conserving biodiversity.
The partnership builds on STIC’s broader efforts to promote educational tourism in Singapore by providing Indian students with opportunities to explore Singapore’s heritage, sustainable development efforts and interactive learning experiences. Masu.
Central to this partnership is the launch of the Unchartered Sentosa Tour, which aims to inspire students to advocate for positive environmental change in their own communities.
Scheduled to roll out in November, Unchartered Sentosa will have Indian students explore sustainability principles in a hands-on manner through a variety of activities.
