The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce’s Beautification Committee awarded Sew Quilty the Business of the Month Award for October. This veteran business is owned by Tara Nguyen. Sew Quilty recently celebrated its one-year anniversary in September and is receiving support from the City of Salem. The shop sells fabrics, concepts, custom quilts, classes, and other gift items. Tara’s mother, Karen Vail, often helps out at the store. The beautiful flowers outside Tara’s shop are displayed in large planter boxes custom-made by her stepfather, Chris Vail.
