The reality TV broker is Jason Oppenheim, founder of the Oppenheim Group and star of the Netflix reality series “Selling Sunset,” Inman has learned exclusively, according to people close to the investigation. . Oppenheim acknowledged receiving payments from portfolio escrow in the past, but denied wrongdoing and disputed the characterization of the arrangement as an “illegal kickback.”
