Mary Agnes Manyak, 93, of Lewes, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at The Moorings in Lewes. She was born February 9, 1931 in Sparrows Point, Maryland, the daughter of the late Bengt “Fred” and Louise Swan.
Mary Agnes received her degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and began her professional career as a registered nurse. She worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital for several years before starting a family. Mary Agnes began her second career in real estate, first as an agent and then as a broker. She owned the Crowell Agency in Fair Haven, New Jersey for many years. In her spare time, Mary Agnes enjoys reading, cooking for her family, and traveling the world visiting over 35 countries. She was an avid pet lover.
Mary Agnes is survived by her beloved husband of 71 years, Anthony “Tony” Manyak; and their daughters, Karen Manyak and Laura Manyak of Colorado and Christine Manyak of New Jersey. In addition to her parents, Mary Agnes was preceded in death by a brother, Fredrick H. Swan of Maryland.
The service will be private.
