MOORHEAD — Concordia University will host a free public luncheon next week featuring speakers on economics and immigration.
“The Economics of Immigration” will be held on Monday, Nov. 4, from noon to 1 p.m., in the Barry Auditorium in the Offutt School of Business’s Grant Center.

The event will include Nicole B. Simpson, Colgate University’s W. Bradford Wiley Professor of Economics, who teaches courses on immigration, macroeconomics, international economics and poverty, Concordia said in a news release. mentioned in.
Simpson’s current research focuses on the effects of immigration and the Earned Income Tax Credit on labor supply, the release states.
Michael Chan, executive director of the Lorenzsen Center for Faith and Work and vice president for mission and inclusion at Concordia University, said immigration is a fundamental part of American history, but remains a key part of the political landscape.
