Only good education can alleviate poverty, senior AAP leader and former Delhi education minister Manish Sisodia said at a ‘Shiksha Parbat’ event in east Delhi’s Kondli area on Sunday.
Sisodia said she was ready to fight and petition anyone to ensure the best educational facilities for her children.
“Ten years ago, when I was appointed deputy chief minister, Kejriwal ji told me one thing: Every child in Delhi, even those from the poorest families. It’s about providing an education system the way you would provide an education system for your own son or daughter. And that’s exactly what we did,” he said. “Currently, Kejriwal ji’s son is studying engineering at a top IIT, but so is the son of someone who makes a living by ironing clothes on street corners,” he added.
ask for suggestions from people
What facilities should schools be provided with? And how should things be organized? Rs — Manish Sisodia, AAP Leader
He highlighted that the Delhi government has initiated moves to send teachers and principals for world-class training and introduce new curriculum in schools. “For exams like NEET, JEE, NDA, CUET, we have also provided free training in schools. As a result, Delhi Public Schools consistently outperform private schools. Every year, thousands of Children are clearing IIT-JEE and NEET exams,” the former Delhi minister said.
With polls scheduled in February in the national capital, the AAP leader said, “Our aim is to continue this momentum and make sure it never stops.” Unfortunately, there are still people in this country who don’t want poor children to succeed. ”
Sisodia asked people for suggestions to improve the education system in the next five years. “What facilities should schools be provided with and how should they be organized? We will continue to build good schools, achieve good results and provide good teacher training, but what more should we do? Should we? How can we ensure that the changes that technology brings to our lives benefit children rather than harm them?” he added.
